MMI Young Medics

Hosted by Malaysian Medics International Young Medics (MMIYM), and supported by distinguished partners such as the Asian Medical Students’ Association of the IMU University (AMSA IMU), Doctors on Ground (DnG), Malaysian Students’ Surgical Society (MSSS) and Surgical Society by Universiti Malaya Medical Society (UMSurgSoc), the conference took place on Saturday, 17th August 2024, at the renowned IMU University.

Getting Into Medical School (GIMS) is Malaysian Medics International Young Medics’ (MMIYM) annual event, happening from the 31st May until 2nd June. The purpose of GIMS is to introduce pre-university students to the Multiple Mini-Interview (MMI) setting and to equip them with the proper skills to ensure that they can ace their medical school interviews.

Making An Informed Decision (MAID) is Malaysian Medics International Young Medics’ (MMIYM) annual flagship event. The purpose of MAID is to educate and create awareness among pre-university students by giving them a glimpse into the life of a medical student. As the name implies, MAID aims to ensure pre-university students are making an informed decision on their career choice as they step into the next phase of their life.

Pursuing medicine is a transformative experience, and proper preparation can make all the difference. Recognizing this, Malaysia’s very first annual national pre-medical and medical conference, Medicine Beyond BorderS (MBBS) 2023, organised by MMI Young Medics, was unfolded on the 19th of August 2023.

This prestige event, which took place at the International Medical University (IMU), emerged as a beacon of guidance for aspiring medical professionals.

Medical school admissions are tough. When you have finally submitted all your documents, you couldn’t really take a sigh of relief as you are anticipating your interview invitation.

We understand how nerve-wracking it is, hence our annual flagship event, Getting Into Medical School (GIMS) is here to lend you a helping hand. It is held virtually by MMI Young Medics, from 2nd June 2023 to 4th June 2023.
